Rough Nevada Blue Gem Turquoise comes in vein material approx. 1/8" to 1/2" thick and from the size of a dime to the size of a tea cup saucer. The Nevada Blue Gem Turquoise comes in a color spectrum from an aqua blue to a deep sky blue. It runs approx. 4-6 in hardness on the mohs scale and tends toward a 6 in hardness.

Nevada Blue Gem Turquoise is mostly "waffer" or vein material, we do not get many nuggets. This is great for cutting cabs or inlay. Alot of times you can simply saw it to the size you want back it and cut it.. you do not have slice it up in many slabs and cut it down and then back it.
